What we changed

  1. No trade, level or hours. Hiring managers screen apprentices on trade code, level and hours first. The after version leads with “309A apprentice — Level 2, 3,900 hours logged”.
  2. Tickets missing, no expiry dates. Safety tickets are often a hard requirement. Each one is now listed with the date it expires.
  3. Vague duties. “Did wiring” becomes specific, checkable work: rough-in and trim-out, panel changes, conduit bending, code references.
  4. Generic objective and soft-skill list. Replaced with a three-line trade summary and the tools and codes the job posting asks for.
  5. Hard for applicant tracking software to read. One column, standard headings, plain text and no tables or text boxes, so ATS software reads every line.
